We use research-based strategies to provide instruction that is tailored to the needs of each student. The programs we use include:
The Visualizing and Verbalizing® program enables students to create detailed mental images of words and ideas. This dramatically improves their listening comprehension, reading comprehension, critical thinking, and expressive language skills.
The LiPS® and Seeing Stars® programs develop phonemic awareness and build phonics skills.
The LiPS® program provides students with a kinesthetic awareness of the mouth actions which produce sounds. The Seeing Stars® program gives students the ability to visualize sight words and spelling patterns.
The Orton-Gillingham approach is a multi-sensory phonics-based system. It enables students to master phonics concepts systematically and sequentially. It utilizes visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning modalities.
